The Abingdon

Discretion by Design

For a conversion of a 1910 building, (a former women's residence and nursing home) into an exclusive property of only 12 unique residences, an unusual emphasis on pre-build customization for early buyers—inviting them to dream with custom drawing tools and furniture outlines. Refined template plans were the only visual materials in a discreetly powerful word-of-mouth campaign. Named for a British naval captain, the building's Abingdon Square address prompted an additional emphasis on its fine-boned Neo-Georgian exteriors, emerging more stately than ever from a period of decline—and bringing some English colour back to the West Village.
